Coronavirus is a novel outbreak that started recently and has deadly effects. Many other such kinds of outbreaks had spread during the past years. Viral outbreaks mostly affect human beings and animals very badly because the body is not ready to face and encounter such viruses properly. Moreover, antibodies against the new virus is not present in our body. Coronavirus is an unknown virus that has killed many people. At first, it is called as a mysterious type of pneumonia because nobody is aware of it. Afterward, it was revealed that it is something different.

How Coronavirus started?

It affects people very badly and cause severe damage to human life. It is started in the Wuhan city of China. Wuhan is a big city in china consisting of approximately 11 million people. Coronavirus is first identified in the seafood market in China. This virus spread in large numbers and affected many people all over the world. It is started in china and spread to 28 different countries. The rate of transmission of this virus is extremely fast.

It is first identified in the seafood market of china where bats, marmots, rabbits, snakes and some birds are traded illegally. There is an assumption that it must have spread from stalls of the seafood market. Coronavirus affects both humans and animals. According to one hypothesis, animals in the seafood market of china are already affected by this virus. From these animals, this virus is transmitted to stallholders and then it spread forward. The coronavirus found in snakes has identical genetic makeup as the genetic makeup of coronaviruses in humans. The coronavirus found in Bats has genetic makeup which is 95% identical to the genetic makeup of coronavirus found in humans. That’s why, scientists said that coronavirus in humans comes from these animals.

Coronavirus is a novel virus, its characteristics, mode of transmission, the effect on human immune and central nervous system is totally unknown. Due to this, we don’t have any preventive measures to protect ourselves against it and it spread to a large extent.

What is a coronavirus?

Coronaviruses are the family of viruses that possess deadly strains that cause severe disease to mammals and birds. These viruses have the potential to damage the central nervous system of the person and making them dead.

It can cause severe respiratory diseases that range from common colds to serious respiratory infections.

Other coronaviruses are also identified as outbreaks in the past years. The virus that causes SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) also belongs to the group of coronaviruses. SARS was also first identified in the china in the year 2002. The number of people affected by SARS was nearly 8000. It was first originated in the southern part of China and then spread forward. It spread in more than 25 countries of the world and cause huge damage. The number of people affected due to coronavirus this time has breakdown all previous records.

Is the Common Cold a coronavirus?

MERS middle east respiratory syndrome also included in the family of coronaviruses. These viruses cause severe damages to mankind.

These viruses are first identified in the 1960s and named as coronaviruses because of its crown shape. Coronavirus acquired this crown shape because of its sugary proteins that projects out from its envelop in the surroundings. This provides the virus with a certain crown shape.

Devastative Effects of Corona Viruses:

Corona virus is causing serious respiratory diseases to humans. There is no vaccine of the corona virus made yet, that’s why the rate at which people are dying due to corona virus is not under control. World Health Organization is struggling for the treatment of infections caused by corona virus. All over the world, many people have died due to corona virus. The percentage of people death and illness due to the corona virus is highest in china.

According to the latest update about coronavirus, 82,735 people are affected due to Coronavirus only in China. While the number of people affected due to coronavirus all over the world is 2,347,875. This ratio is much more than the ratio of affected people due to SARS.

More than 161,402 people are died due to this virus. Many cases of this virus are found in the Hubei province of China. Started from the Wuhan city of china, this virus has spread to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong province.

Chinese health authorities also reported some cases in which people are recovered from the coronavirus. This built a hope that this virus may not last long and might not be drastic as SARS. But the number of cases of this virus infections are also increasing day by day.

These two people are transferred to the health center for treatment. 83 Britons who have been shifted from the Wuhan are being held in quarantine for 14 days to reduce the risks of infection.

Mode of Transmission of Coronavirus:

Many things are still unknown about Coronavirus. Their mode of transmission is not properly known but the mode of transmissions of the other viruses of the same family is known. Coronaviruses have many common things in them. So, the mode of transmission of coronavirus might be similar.

Scientists are continuously struggling for the vaccine of coronavirus but it is not made yet. Work on the vaccine of coronavirus is under process. Scientists are successful in sequencing the genome of coronavirus. On their next step, they will proceed towards the methods of vaccine preparation against the coronavirus. Several groups of scientists are working on the vaccine for coronavirus but there is no surety that its vaccine will be prepared sooner. The work of scientists for the preparation of vaccines is getting intense day by day. There are hopes that the vaccine against coronavirus is manufacture as early as possible.
